Van Cleef & Arpels has been working alongside choreographer Benjamin Millepied and his dance troupe, L.A. Dance Project, since 2012. This collaboration has given rise to several choreographic works, including Gems, a contemporary ballet trilogy (2013-2016). In 2018, the Maison again supports Benjamin Millepied for the creation of Romeo & Juliet Suite. In 2022, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels renews this partnership by presenting Be Here Now in Paris and Los Angeles.

French dancer, choreographer and producer Benjamin Millepied spent most of his dancing career at the New York City Ballet, where he performed from 1995 to 2011, becoming a principal in 2001. In 2010, he choreographed and appeared in the Oscar-winning film Black Swan. Two years later, he founded his own troupe, L.A. Dance Project. In 2014, Benjamin Millepied was named Director of Dance at the Paris Opera Ballet, where he thoroughly transformed the repertoire, bringing in top contemporary choreographers such as William Forsythe and Crystal Pite.

Several of his ballets have become mainstays for major international dance companies, including the New York City Ballet, the Paris Opera, the Ballet Mariinski and the Lyon Opera. In the course of his career, Benjamin Millepied has collaborated with creators known for diverse forms of artistic expression in the fields of music, visual arts, as well as design. Having produced many short films over the years, in 2021 he is shooting his first feature-length musical film, inspired by Georges Bizet’s opera Carmen.
