In 2025, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting the Festival d'Automne for the presentation of Profanations by Faustin Linyekula and Franck Moka.
Dancer, choreographer and director, Faustin Linkyekula lives and works in Kisangani. After studying literature and theater, he moved to Nairobi in 1993, and in 1997 co-founded Kenya's first contemporary dance company, La Compagnie Gàara. Returning to Kinshasa in 2001, he set up Studios Kabako, a space for dance and visual theater and a place for exchange, research and creation. He is the author of around 15 pieces that have been presented on major stages and at festivals in Europe, North and South America, Australia and Africa. His numerous collaborations include a staging for La Comédie-Française (Bérénice, 2009), a creation for the Ballet de Lorraine (La Création du monde 1923-2012) and a solo piece for a dancer from the CNB - National Ballet of Portugal. He has also created performances for museums, such as the MUCEM in Marseille in 2016 and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York in 2017.
