In 2021, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting composer Geoffroy Jourdain for the creation of t u m u l u s, in collaboration with choreographer François Chaignaud.
While studying musicology and conducting research in the Italian music collections of several European libraries, Geoffroy Jourdain embarked on a new adventure as director of vocal ensembles. He founded Les Cris de Paris even before graduating. He soon made a name for himself thanks to a bold artistic vision and a commitment to contemporary creation. Working together with stage directors, actors, dancers, choreographers and visual artists, he focuses his talents on shaping innovative approaches to musical performance creation. He has developed artistic projects in collaboration with Beat Furrer, Mauro Lanza, Marco Stroppa, Francesco Filidei, Oscar Strasnoy (including the opera Cachafaz) and Ivan Fedele. Geoffroy Jourdain’s passions include 17th and 18th century repertoires and ethnomusicology.
