In 2026, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting L'Âge d'or by Mazelfreten, performed by the Ballet de Lorraine at the Théâtre de la Ville as part of Chaillot Nomade, Chaillot's off-site programming.
Founded in 2016, the MazelFreten company resulted from the collaboration of Brandon Masele and Laura Defretin, known as Miel and Nala. Having worked with Christine and the Queens, Stromae and Angèle, they bring their respective backgrounds in electro and hip-hop. The company has created nine works to date, including Rave Lucid and Mémento, currently touring in France and internationally. Forward-looking, the duo has developed a distinctive choreographic language, bringing these dances to a wider audience. Notably, they choreographed the OBSCURITÉ segment of the Olympics opening ceremony. They are also actively engaged with the next generation through cultural events and educational initiatives.
