Portrait of Tatiana Julien in black and white

In 2021, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting Opéra de Lyon Ballet in creating Tatiana Julien’s Not Ending, a solo piece interpreted by Jacqueline Bâby as part of the Danser Encore project (2020-2023).

A graduate of the Paris Conservatory and University of Paris VIII, Tatiana Julien has performed for the likes of Compagnie 7273, Nathalie Pernette, Thomas Lebrun and Sylvain Prunenec. Today, she dances for Olivia Grandville and Boris Charmatz.

In 2011, she founded her own dance troupe, INTERSCRIBO. At the crossroads of different forms of expression, the troupe explores hybrid stage and on-site performance formats featuring both professionals and amateurs. Creations examine artists’ responsibilities in the world, as well as the role of spectators/citizens. Often adapted to suit the architecture of the venue, her works encourage audience participation. They illustrate the fantasy of a self-contaminating  dance, constant and ubiquitous, a dance that awakens empathy.

Tatiana Julien is associate artist at the Maison de la Culture d’Amiens / Pôle européen de création et de production. She receives support from le phénix – scène nationale de Valenciennes as part of the Campus program. She is also a member of the artist community of Espace des Arts, scène nationale Chalon-sur-Saône and a companion artist at the Théâtre du Beauvaisis, scène nationale.
