In 2026, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting Julidans, the annual international festival for contemporary dance in Amsterdam, for the presentation of Antigone by Alan Lucien Øyen.
Julidans is the annual international festival for contemporary dance in Amsterdam since 1991. Every summer, usually in the first half of July, the festival presents groundbreaking, daring, and surprising dance productions by leading choreographers from home and abroad.
The festival showcases what is currently trending in dance: from emerging talent to established choreographers, with a special focus on mid-career makers. The program consists of performances in theaters, museums, and public spaces, complemented by workshops, post-performance discussions, and other contextual activities that offer depth for a broad audience. Julidans presents dance that speaks to the world today through work that is both personal and socially driven. Preference is given to multidisciplinary, theatrical forms and new combinations of disciplines.
The beating heart of the festival is the Internationaal Theater Amsterdam (ITA) on Leidseplein, but performances can also be seen at other locations in the city, such as Theater Bellevue, Frascati, Brakke Grond, the Stedelijk Museum, and outdoors in Vondelpark.
