In 2026, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef and Arpels is supporting the Kyoto Experiment Performing Arts Festival for the presentation of the show Adorno by Alice Ripoll. 

The pandemic, wars, and the rise of generative AI — as this paradigm shift unfolds, who will shape our new history? The individual, the collective, or…? This is the latest work by Alice Ripoll, known for exploring political and social contradictions. Favela-based dance collective Cia. REC responds to this question by exposing the bare bodies and instincts. The word adorno means adornment in Portuguese, but when broken down into syllables, it can also be read as “there is pain in the….” Could the shadow beneath this festive elation be disparity and division? Or perhaps the struggle of living with our differences?
