In 2025, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting the Shanghai International Dance Center Theater in collaboration with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival for the presentation of Diptych: The Missing Door and The Lost Room by Peeping Tom.
The Belgian dance company Peeping Tom creates fantastical worlds, like waking dreams, at the crossroads of dance and theater. Featuring aesthetics of hyperrealism, journeys unfold in a labyrinth, reminiscent of a David Lynch film. In this new work, spectators are propelled into the meandering thoughts of characters whose roles develop on the deck of a boat. Sublime and mysterious, the set design opens the door to dreamlike worlds of desires, fears and nightmares. The performers' elastic bodies and the infinitely rich soundscape contribute to this enigmatic atmosphere. This breathtaking poetry has earned the show awards and standing ovations around the world.
