In Theatre of Dreams, his new work, Hofesh Shechter continues to present his intense creative energy, this time with montages. Dance styles cover the spectrum, with elements of hip-hop and folk dances, as well as frenetic party moves. The shifting between light and shadow and the opening and closing of the curtains are like undercurrents, with drumbeats like the rhythms of fate. The dancers alternate between melancholic swaying and frantic movements throughout this 90-minute performance. The result is a relentless flow as thrilling dance movements are constantly presented.
