In 2027, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels™ is organizing in collaboration with the Sydney Festival, the workshop Choregraphic movement: Outsider taught by Nahuel Vega a dancer from the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, as part of the Festival in Sydney.
This workshop begins by awakening the body in dialogue with bodily sensations, the floor, gravity, and space, cultivating awareness and presence. Concepts and ideas are introduced to challenge and expand new movement qualities, with improvisation serving as a playful entry point. The workshop then transitions into floorwork and phrase material, applying these tools to broaden physical vocabulary.
The workshop concludes with an introduction to company repertoire, offering participants the opportunity to explore and work on a solo from the piece Outsider, engaging with the movement material, its physicality, and artistic context.
