In 2026, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels™ is organizing, in collaboration with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, the workshop He who falls taught by Marie Bourgeois from the Yoann Bourgeois Art Company as part of its Festival in Shanghai.
Yoann Bourgeois Art Company routinely offers discussion sessions and workshops regarding its technical devices, which it envisions as opportunities for experimentation and discovery.
Through a variety of exercises and games, these workshops are open to all members of the general public and then adapted to specific contexts and levels of experience. They explore the concepts of balance, movement, attention and presence in a hands-on fashion, and they develop tools for observing, feeling and engaging with one’s environment.
In conjunction with the presentation of He who falls at the Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels™ Festival, Marie Bourgeois, who is performing the piece, will conduct a workshop on two of its principal scenic devices: the revolving stage, which plays with centrifugal force, and the balancing platform.
