In 2026, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels™ is organizing, in collaboration with the China Shanghai International Arts Festival, the workshop Serpentines dance club taught by Ola Maciejewska & Jean Lesca as part of the Festival in Shanghai.
Serpentines Dance Club is a means for sharing and transmitting the practice of serpentine dance, created by the choreographer Ola Maciejewska in collaboration with the dancer Jean Lesca. Maciejewska is the author of several dance pieces that explore this landmark in modern choreography. Her work offers audiences new ways of discovering these dances by proposing a spatial and temporal immersion in this singular practice. Through their embrace of the visual, rythmic, and sculptural universe of serpentine dances, participants will explore the process of metamorphosis that characterizes them, as well as incorporate the interplay between dance and sculpture and between the performer's physical experience and the image that he/she produces.
