At the crossroads between several suburbs of Paris, La Briqueterie – a National Center for Choreographic Development – has become a significant space for choreographic research and residencies since it was inaugurated a decade ago.
For the ongoing video series “Dance Places,” which offers viewers a “tour” of an artist’s or a collective’s vision through the location where they work, Sandra Neuveut, the director of La Briqueterie since 2021, talked about the building’s industrial history, its role as a talent incubator and its relationship with the Biennale de Danse du Val-de-Marne, whose 2023 edition will open at La Briqueterie in early March.
