Archives of Feelings

The wedding celebration is drawing to a close. While most of the guests have departed, the newlyweds and six of their close relatives, still gathered, ponder what it means to "make a family." The piece is structured like a gallery of portraits where each character reveals a distinct story. It's a moment where the present, past, and anticipated future unfold in all their density, and where the connections between psychological and social constructs are made visible through a singular formal approach.

This marks a first collaboration with writer Marie NDiaye, who is writing an original collaborative play specifically for this project, intimately blending choreographic and theatrical work.

This project is part of the company's long-standing research into power dynamics and their construction. It allows for a meticulous study of dominance relationships through the prism of perceptive frameworks; exploring what links and differentiates them, as expressed through gestures in daily experiences.
