In 2021, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting the Opéra de Lyon Ballet in creating Rachid Ouramdane’s jours effacés, a solo piece interpreted by Léoannis Pupo-Guillen as part of the Danser Encore project (2020-2023).

At a time when caring for each other has become essential, Rachid Ouramdane explores the plight of children who care for the adults around them: a role reversal that many young people must shoulder from time to time.

Centered on a solo performance interpreted by dancer Léoannis Pupo-Guillen as a character seemingly gripped by senility, the choreography emerges as a surfacing wave of recollection that a child attempts to recall to the adult in his charge. A way to capture memory through movement. The dance bursts forth like the final grand jeté of Vaslav Nijinsky, performed before a dancer who came to visit him in the psychiatric asylum to which he was committed after losing his mental faculties.
