Polymorphous monochromes float through, loom, and fade in the empty
space. This performance is an encounter between two disciplines and visions. The choreography and the storyline are generated through the dynamics of sheets of paper. The moving monochromatic pictorial space becomes a sculpture. La Feuille forms part of a series of collaborations between these two artists: Numéro debuted in 2002 at La Ménagerie de verre, and for Heroes (2005), the visual artist proposes a razzle dazzle set design to the choreographer, who enacts the heroic aspects of various political, legendary, or cinematographic figures. This performance has been revived and adapted to the specific setting in which it is being presented.
