Lora

Lora tells the story of Lithuanian dancer Lora Juodkaite, who in spinning to the point of vertigo developed a personal gestural practice that has supported and comforted her since a child. 

In this solo portrait taken from the 2014 piece TORDRE,  which was composed in Annecy for two dancers, Rachid Ouramdane probes the fragile space where movement oscillates between the poetic and the therapeutic. Here, he continues the documentary tone that earned him international renown. Between hushed testimonial and understated revelation emerges a patient, subtle staging of intimacy.
