In 2023, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting La Bâtie - Festival de Genève for the presentation of Mitten wir im Leben sind / Bach6Cellosuiten by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.
Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker proves opus after opus, her profound knowledge of Jean-Sébastien Bach’s musical composition. Through Mitten wir im Leben sind/Bach6Cellosuiten, the choreographer continues her quest for a score that can capture the very essence of the composer’s language. Along with four dancers who accompany her on the stage of la Comédie de Genève, she invites the internationally acclaimed cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras to bring the musical score to life. The score is summoned in all its dimensions and is in turn enlightened, challenged or put into perspective by the choreography. This fascinating embrace between dance and music brings out the individual character of the six Suites as much as the cohesion of their overall project.

In 2023, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting the choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker for her latest creation EXIT ABOVE, as well as several European institutions for the presentation of the piece.
Jean-Guihen Queyras
Jean-Guihen Queyras is a founding member of the Arcanto Quartet and forms a famous trio with Isabelle Faust and Alexander Melnikov. Queyras is regularly invited by renowned orchestras like the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and many others. He has performed under the direction of conductors like Ivan Fischer, Philippe Herreweghe, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Herbert Blomstedt.
Queyras has recorded concertos by Elgar, Dvorak, Schoeller and Amy. His latest recording, THRACE - Sunday Morning Sessions, was released in summer 2016.
In addition to being a concert performer and a recording artist, Jean-Guihen Queyras is a professor at the University of Music Freiburg and Artistic Director of the Rencontres Musicales de Haute-Provence festival in Forcalquier.
