In 2024, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting the Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi for the presentation of MUJO by Purring Tiger.
Purring Tiger is a multi-cultural, multimedia, interactive installation/performance group, led by choreographer/installation artist Kiori Kawai, and composer/new media artist Aaron Sherwood.
Purring Tiger’s mission is to bring people together in an artistic context, in a subtext of "wonder". They use technology to intertwine the human body with sounds and visuals, and foster interaction. Their pieces have been commissioned and appeared at Burning Man Arts Festival(NV), Brooklyn Museum (NY), Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (CA), Federation Square (Australia), Tribeca Performing Arts Center(NY), Telfair Museum (GA), Cameron Arts Museum (NC), Wave Festival (CO), Canal Convergence (AZ), Megaron - The Athens Concert Hall (Greece), New York University Abu Dhabi (U.A.E), Tokushima LED Art Festival (Japan), Toronto Film Festival (Canada), Art Festival nuitnumérique (France), Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary (AZ), Mesa Arts Center (AZ) and many more.
The group also conducts lectures and performance workshops exploring the artistic combination of the human body with technology, using interactive installations and body movement. Many of their works are created in collaboration with local/international dancers, musicians and media artists.
