Piece after piece, Eun-Me Ahn and her performers forge a new dance of Asia, without limits and in constant evolution. This time, the enfant terrible of Seoul puts a Post Orientalist Express on track at full speed, following Dragons,which swept the Théâtre de la Ville in 2021. Drawing on her shamanic heritage and her New York training, the Korean choreographer once again crusades against orientalist clichés, questioning what moves Asian youth today. Legends, fashion trends, pop culture and dance styles are pushed to the point of absurdity, revealing their inherent contradictions. Behind the contagious energy also lies the possibility of redefining a cultural identity, beyond the tradition-modernity dichotomy.
