In 2024, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting the Institut Français du Japon for the presentation of the Dance Cross program, which features Rebirth d'Ayaka Ono et Akira Nakazawa et SELF/UNNAMED de Georges Labbat, as part of the 2024 Yokohama Dance Collection program.

Reinterpreting the ‘mass suicide’ motif of the original 2006 premiere (by Tokyo Deathlock, led by Junnosuke Tada) as it exists in 2024, and placing on stage the thoughts of death, particularly that stemming from invisible loneliness and isolation, Ayaka Ono Akira Nakazawa Spacenotblank create the structure of the original concept of ‘repeating a 30-minute story three times’ as an actual “Rebirth” to discover further new structures, while interpreting it from the perspective of ‘inheritance’ in multiple ways.
