Urban Dance Showcase
In 2026, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting Villa Hegra for a program dedicated to performing arts on the occasion of the 2026 AlUla Arts Festival, presented in collaboration with Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse.
The day after the presentation of Vertigo in the Saudi desert, Rachid Ouramdane and Chaillot – Théâtre National de la Danse offer a day devoted to performance and dance at the heart of Villa Hegra.
Accompanied by acrobats from the Compagnie de Chaillot and on a choreography by Rachid Ouramdane from the piece Les Traceurs, highliner Nathan Paulin embarks on a tightrope walk.
Meanwhile, the composer and musician Christophe Chassol leads a musical journey through his most celebrated works, followed by a concert by Saudi musicians.
Coming from a hip-hop background and representing the new generation of choreographers, Saïdo Lehlouh (from CCN de Rennes / FAIR-E collective) presents Break On, a unique combination of hip-hop dance and an unexpected musical landscape, bringing together French and Saudi talents including Jeddah-based artist Akram Shah. It's a moment of poetry, both visual and musical, illuminating Villa Hegra.
Between performances, audiences can take part in hands-on workshops and attend a screening of the film Möbius Morphosis, produced at the Panthéon in Paris as part of the Cultural Olympiad of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Conceived by Rachid Ouramdane and Collectif XY, this breathtaking spectacle captures the soaring flight of birds and unites 100 artists on stage, including the Ballet de l’Opéra de Lyon and La Maîtrise de Radio France, with music by Jean-Benoît Dunckel, cofounder of the band Air.
