In 2026, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting the Villa Hegra in collaboration with Chaillot – Théâtre national de la Danse, for the presentation of Vertigo by Rachid Ouramdane, Chassol and Nathan Paulin with the Compagnie de Chaillot.
Rather than relying on virtuosity, the piece explores an existential and metaphysical dimension, engaging with the notion of the void. Simultaneously grounded in reality and open to a dreamlike space, both intimate and expansive, the performance offers a distinctive perspective on a far-from-the-ordinary human experience. French highliner Nathan Paulin, known for his practice of extreme sports, contributed to the ideation of the piece. On stage, he will appear alongside acrobats and children from the AlUla community.
Rachid Ouramdane, Nathan Paulin, and Christophe Chassol are presenting Vertigo in AlUla at the invitation of Villa Hegra in the Saudi desert, a unique aerial and immersive experience in a spectacular setting. On stage, acrobats from the Compagnie de Chaillot and in the air, highliners, suspended in mid-air, moving with grace and daring as they explore vertigo and the sensation of weightlessness, embodying self-transcendence and the immense power of solidarity. Children from the AlUla Community complete this high rank cast.
