In 2023, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is supporting Boris Charmatz for the creation of Emmitouflé and its presentation at the Centre Pompidou-Metz.

The Centre Pompidou-Metz is famous for its architecture by Shigeru Ban, but Chiara Parisi showed us to an undeveloped space, a bit neglected, strange, called the North Triangle. Slippery cobblestones, vegetation growing freely on perforated earth, a feeling like the landscape in Tarkovsky’s Stalker… We imagine taking you there in a raw performance, swaddled, dancing no matter the cost. We know Singing in the Rain is the best dance movie of all time, and the best rock festivals take place in the mud, so... come covered, very covered - and once you are well covered, add another layer.
During this open-air experimental performance, Marion Barbeau will dart through wild grass, a poem by Christophe Tarkos will serve as a dance lesson, the punk dancer Frank Willens will improvise in the industrial remains, I will dance a duet with Emmanuelle Huynh to Ravel's Bolero in extreme conditions... and sometimes we will all dance like crazy to warm up our feet in the mud to the sound of a DJ-turned-mole by Philippe Quesne.
The Centre Pompidou-Metz is a place where visitors can enjoy works and artists in action. And sometimes the visitors get their shirts wet, which is not without beauty -
