French May Arts Festival 2024

In 2024, Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is pursuing its collaboration in Hong Kong. The initiative is supporting the presentation of Emanuel Gat’s LOVETRAIN2020 during the 31st rendition of the French May Arts Festival and contributing to the organization of two workshops led by choreographers Ola Maciejewska and Christian Rizzo for students of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The resulting works will be given public during an open studio performance at the French May Arts Festival.

Founded in 1993, the French May Arts Festival is one of Asia’s major cultural events. With some 100 programs presented over a two-month period and more than 200,000 annual visitors, it is a hallmark of Hong Kong’s cultural scene. The festival’s main objective is to showcase highly diverse forms of art, ranging from contemporary arts to painting, design, classical music, dance, cinema, and even puppetry.

These performances are unique in that they are presented in various, sometimes unusual and unexpected locations, from cultural centers to shopping malls, public spaces, the hippodrome, and Victoria Harbour.

The festival aims to be accessible to all and seeks to engage the entire community, including younger and less privileged audiences. To this end, the festival offers educational programs, conferences, guided tours, workshops, and master classes.
