...How in salts desert is it possible to blossom...is a collaboration between Robyn Orlin, uKhoiKhoi and Garage Dance Ensemble, a compagny directed by Alfred Hinkel based in O'Kiep, Northern Cape - South Africa.

This territory of South Africa is largely unknown, but for Robyn Orlin it is a veritable microcosm of the history of colonised South Africa. The great cultural richness, humour and humanity (and all too well-known lack of humanity) of this region shapes the artistic project.

Together with dancers, performers and musicians from the area, Robyn Orlin develops an installative performance, which negotiates questions around power, social and sexual hierarchies and privileges, thus playfully generating aspects of counter design for a new equal coexistence.
