Múa
In Vietnamese, Múa means dance. On a trip to her father's country of origin where she didn't speak the language, Emmanuelle Huyn could only communicate through body language. Created at the dawn of her career, Huyn's coming-of-age solo piece draws on this seminal experience. It evokes the sensations of improvising with closed eyes, in the vein of director Michel Reilhac's "Dark Noir" series, which for forty minutes deprived spectators of all visual markers. Similarly, here the choreographer immerses the audience in total darkness with music interpreted by cellist Fabrice Bihan. Appearing and disappearing, in motion and motionless, in silence and with music, she unveils her body, naked and then in a sheer dress, thus inscribing her presence in the world.
3, Avenue de l'Espérance
Thirty years ago, Julie Nioche and Rachid Ouramdane created an explosive solo piece together. Performed by Julie Nioche, the work's title is the address of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Belfort, then directed by Odile Duboc, where it was conceived. In this singular journey towards motionlessness, the two dancers made their first steps as choreographers, delving into an infinite exploration of emotion and movement. Julie Nioche now returns to this piece that started her artistic path, the matrix of a body of work on sensation and imagination developed in connection with social questioning. Yves Godin's lighting design directs the eye from a vast space to a minimalist focus pinpointing the body. And the sound-enhanced costume designed by Christian Rizzo rips apart as the dance progresses, enabling spectators to see and hear the marks left on the skin by even the movements of the interior.
