In Site | The Rite of Spring

Xie Xin, a leading figure in contemporary dance in China, has skillfully assimilated her Western artistic experiences into her own culture. The result is a fluid, elegant and poetic choreographic language.

For the company's tenth anniversary, Xiexin Dance Theatre presents the diptych In Satie & The Rite of Spring, which brings into dialogue the scores of two great composers, Erik Satie and Igor Stravinsky, while inviting reflection on the cycle of life. On stage, twelve performers transcend the music with virtuosity and slowness, power and delicacy, perfection and abstraction.
