In 2024, Dance Reflection by Van Cleef & Arpels continues to pursue its commitment to transmission and education and is organizing in collaboration with Saitama Arts Theater and ROHM Theatre Kyoto workshops around the work of Rachid Ouramdane as part of the Dance Reflection by Van Cleef & Arpels Festival in Japan.

Discover the beauty of aerial choreography in these acrodance workshops led by two acrobats of Corps extrêmes, Maxime Seghers and Tamila de Naeyer. Explore the notions of trust and relationship with others through the prism of acrobatic dance. Aimed at dancers with varying levels of experience, this workshop focus on the basics of hand-to-hand and acrobatic lifts and on getting participants to experience weightlessness and suspension. Depending on your preference, you will discover the sensations of being a carrier or a flyer, all in search of fluidity and lightness.

Saitama Arts Theater Oct. 27
Duration: 2 hours
ROHM Theatre Kyoto Oct. 29
Duration: 3 hours

In this contemporary dance workshop led by Annie Hanauer, choreographic assistant to Rachid Ouramdane, discover the sensation of flying, with a choreography that connects ground and air. You will work closely with other participants on creating movement. By letting go, you will learn how to explore gravity through dance, achieving a sense of weightlessness and exploring the abilities of your own body. You will work together as a group, using touch and counterbalance to transform yourselves into a connected organism. Through awakening sensations and perception, and being present in your body, you will eventually move completely and confidently together.

ROHM Theatre Kyoto Oct. 30
Duration: 3 hours
