With Fampitaha, fampita, fampitàna, meaning comparison, transmission and rivalry in Malagasy, choreographer Soa Ratsifandrihana creates a story she would have liked to hear and see. A blend of radio, musical and choreographic storytelling, this diasporic show plays with orality and movement, reminding us that our bodies, like our words and sounds, carry stories. Soa is joined by guitarist Joël Rabesolo and performers Audrey Merilus and Stanley Ollivier, with whom she travels towards a wandering, a creolization perhaps.

"Creolization takes us into the adventure of multilingualism and the unheard-of explosion of cultures. But the explosion of cultures is not their dispersal, nor their mutual dilution; it is the violent sign of their consensual, non-imposed sharing."

Édouard Glissant
