Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels

Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels is an initiative launched by the High Jewelry Maison Van Cleef & Arpels – a devotee of dance ever since its origins. It aims to promote the choreographic heritage, encourage contemporary creation and raise the profile of this artistic universe among the public at large.

"The Maison wishes to support modern and contemporary dance, and to nourish choreographic creation."

Nicolas Bos, President & CEO of Van Cleef & Arpels

Van Cleef & Arpels and dance

Dance is historically significant for Van Cleef & Arpels, as evidenced by the Ballerina clips created since the 1940s, and different artistic encounters. Claude Arpels' links with George Balanchine – which gave rise to the ballet Jewels in 1967 – have been echoed by a partnership with Benjamin Millepied and L.A. Dance Project since 2012. The Maison's commitment to dance, which includes collaborations with companies and operas throughout the world and the FEDORA – Van Cleef & Arpels Prize for Ballet, is growing stronger by the year.

"Dance is at the crossing of all artistic disciplines."

Serge Laurent, Van Cleef & Arpels Dance and Culture programs Manager

Creation – Transmission – Education

The initiative is structured around three axes, the first consisting in accompanying the artists and institutions that champion the modern repertoire and invest in the production of new works. Dance Reflections by Van Cleef & Arpels will also offer an annual dance event, featuring both a selection of established works and new creations. In addition, actions to raise awareness of the culture of dance will appeal to an audience of professionals and amateurs alike.
